Checks for valid UK/British postcodes. There was another on here that had for some reason been upvoted, but it was actually incorrect as it worked on none of my valid own postcodes! Namely that it assumed two letters and a number (BS3) when you can have variations (M20). Allows for an optional space and separates the two parts into groups.

A string with only numbers in

Validate Gregorian calendar dates that contain 24-hour times. This will also correctly match the Feb 29 date when it falls on a valid leap year. Leap years occur every 4 years, with one exception: when a year is evenly divisible by 100 but not evenly divisible by 400, the year will not be a leap year. Thus years 2100, 2200, and 2300 are not leap years but years 2000, 2400, and 2800 are.

Removes empty HTML tags. Was needed for old input clean-up and to keep a HTML parses from crashing. Looking for improvement on bottom test.

This regular expression removes multi-line (star) comments from JavaScript, while leaving any CDATA sections intact. Use the global (g) modifier to match them all (if you plan to use PHP's preg_replace, the g modifier is not necessary), and use the (s) modifier to make dots match newlines (this will be required in for using with PHP's preg_replace function). This regular expression does not exhaust all possibilities (such as a space between the opening or closing star comment and the CDATA tag), but it functions if the style guidelines are of the more popularized variety.
