URL validation with http/https

this is the most perfect pattern I reach for url with query or anchor

only WEB URL ex:http://aaa.com.tw https://aaa.com aaa.com aaa.com.tw

This is validation that is used in html5 for validate the url. http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc3987.html

seperates url path and query

For embeding, replace with //www.youtube.com/embed/$3?list=$2$6

You can match the string starts with // (forward slash)

Verifies YouTube video links AND pulls the video ID from them in a matching group. Works with all capitalizations. It also matches the WHOLE link but sorts the video ID into a group. Works with JavaScript, PHP and Python. (Not tested with any other Regex engine) ...

Finds: links with or without http/s links with or without www short links

Extracts the name and domain of any link, for instance https://www.google.com/?gfe_rd=cr&#q=generic+search --> google.com
